Company Profile
Today, owners have less and less internal ability and capacity to manage a project, and as a result, rely too heavily on the general contractor to take it on. That can lead to a breakdown from a lack of experience and inability to prioritize customer needs when tough issues arise. At Halyard, we come into a project to be that bridge, connecting all sides of the process and providing an understanding and solution to keep the project moving.
We do more than just manage projects. We work with our clients from the beginning to define needs – developing a strategy and approach with a big-picture view and a razor-sharp focus on the guiding vision. We oversee every mile marker along the way – walking the site, checking quality and progress, and identifying issues before they become problems. There’s a lot that happens every day on a project, and our sharp eyes and ears mean you can rest assured that everything is progressing as it should.
Saved Time. Saved Money.
Our expertise and attention to detail mean we can immediately flag costs that are too high, identify (and correct) any scheduling blips, and ensure all targets are hit. And fewer headaches means you’ll save on aspirin too!
Trusted Relationships
We believe our commitment to building rapport with our clients and partners is what keeps our phone ringing. Our relationships are founded on honesty, consistency, and human connection. Electronic communication is great, but if an issue requires discussion, we’re quick to pick up the phone (or even better, to jump in the car to meet face-to-face!), so that we can work through it.
The Right Vision. The Right Way.
While we steer the ship with tenacity toward your vision, we’re never shy to speak up if we have an idea that will save costs, enhance sustainability, or create an even better experience for the people who will live or work in the finished space. We also guarantee eagle-eye oversight and accountability for all non-negotiables, including worker and building safety, compliance, and quality.
Roots Story
You might say Halyard was born out of a neighborhood seed-selling business or local paper route over 30 years ago. Or maybe a college student’s summer house painting gig. Ok, that’s a stretch. But as a Founder and as Principal of Halyard LLC, I’ve been an entrepreneur in one way or another since before I can remember. And somewhere along the way, I fell in love with design and architecture, which were given purpose throughout a long career in project management and development. The only problem was, I was working for someone else. My entrepreneurial spirit wasn’t satisfied, and so I said goodbye to the comfort of corporate life.
I certainly didn’t foresee working with clients of the same caliber as Comcast Technology Center, Penn Medicine, or Bristol Myers Squibb. But here we are. In reality, our company was really founded on the kind words and referrals of a few small projects I completed as a subcontractor and continues to thrive on that same reputation of high-quality service.
For me, the most rewarding praise comes from not only getting a job done, but also putting our client’s best interest first every step of the way. And every member of our team feels the same way—which is why our process works. The reputation we’ve proven from day 1 is a tribute to our small, close-knit culture built on the shared values of putting the client first, working hard, solving problems, and being honest.

My team works harder than I ask them to. We take on every project as if it were our own—our goals, our budget, our success—and so our expectations are extremely high. I’m also lucky to have my wife, Jen, on the team to help make sure they disconnect and enjoy the important distraction of family and interests whenever possible. After leaving her previous role as a Facility Manager of 180 buildings across the tri-state area to join Halyard, my wife knows the impact this has better than anyone.
Our goal for the future is to continue to grow the company with like-minded individuals who share our drive and will help us become one of the best true project management firms in the area. If people know you do what you say you’re going to do, you are honest when something isn’t right, and you’ll help them find a solution, they become your biggest advocate. And that’s the foundation Halyard is built on.
