Al Fazzini
senior PROJECT MANAGER
Al Fazzini has built a 45-year career in construction management, developing a uniquely diverse portfolio that has made him an invaluable partner to owners. As a former Registered Professional Engineer in six states, he enhances his project management and business development expertise with extensive experience in civil engineering and land development.
Al’s innate, detail-oriented mentality and high-level communication skills allow him to bring unparalleled value and insight to the strategic planning and decision-making process of every project.
“As project managers, we’re in the business of disruption management,” Al explains. Construction can be incredibly disruptive, with numerous decisions needing to be made quickly. His role is to help owners and teams navigate these changes and guide them through the decision-making process to ensure successful project outcomes. With experience spanning healthcare, education, industrial, hospitality, retail, and entertainment, Al has worked on notable projects, including skyscrapers, museums, and sports arenas, as well as various renovations and fit-outs. Each project presents its own unique challenges, and he finds enjoyment in every aspect of his work, believing that even the smallest projects are significant.
Al emphasizes the importance of being informed: “You have to explore all areas of a project to make the most educated decisions possible.” He prioritizes open communication with the design community, owners, and user groups, taking the time to ask meaningful questions that foster understanding. For him, it’s all about getting the job done well, whether professionally or personally, with inspiration coming from his wife, Pat, and the family they’ve built together, including their two sons, twin daughters, and seven wonderful grandchildren.
Outside of work, Al enjoys fishing, whether it’s surf fishing or going deep-sea or freshwater fishing, with favorite spots including Cape Hatteras and the Jersey Shore. He also tackles home renovation projects, often helping his children with their homes, all conveniently located within ten minutes of his own. Al relishes attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and takes pride in his cooking, especially his fantastic pizza. One meal he will never tire of is the Feast of the Seven Fishes, an Italian-American Christmas Eve tradition that holds deep family significance, as his father was born on that day. Guided by the philosophy that “It’s never wrong to do the right thing,” Al embodies this principle in every aspect of his life, along with inspirations from quotes by Teddy Roosevelt and Calvin Coolidge.
