CHRIS DEBELLIS

SENIOR PROJECT manager

Chris DeBellis’s passion for construction began in childhood, with LEGO bricks scattered across the floor. That early love for building evolved into a career devoted to transforming ideas into tangible, sustainable spaces. A graduate of Rutgers University with a degree in Civil Engineering, Chris started his professional journey at a design firm, where he quickly realized his preference for the fast-paced, hands-on nature of construction.

Over the years, he has worked with leading firms like Whiting Turner and CBRE, contributing to a wide range of impactful projects, including ground-up builds, laboratory fit-outs, and sustainable infrastructure upgrades.

His portfolio includes complex, multi-faceted projects such as a 100,000-square-foot solar-powered office and laboratory campus and major site consolidations for global pharmaceutical companies. With credentials like LEED AP BD+C and Fitwel Ambassador, Chris is deeply committed to sustainable building practices, including reusing materials, reducing waste, and creating greener spaces.

Chris’s career took a pivotal turn when he met Barrett and Jennifer Dunigan, and he was drawn to the culture of collaboration and innovation at Halyard, as well as the team’s unique approach—treating every project as an opportunity to build not just structures but strong relationships.

Inspired by his father’s hard work, resiliency, and positivity during long commutes from their home in New Jersey to Manhattan and back every day for work, Chris carries those same values into his own life. As a new father himself, Chris balances his professional and personal life with outdoor adventures, golf, and an annual ski trip tradition. He looks forward to raising his son with the same dedication to hard work that has defined his career.
